Building from Source
====================

This document explains how to build the Folding\@home Work Server software.
The WS comes with a script which automates this process.

Install packages
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

::

    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install -y scons git build-essential libssl-dev python3

Get the source
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

::

    git clone https://github.com/FoldingAtHome/fah-work.git

Build it
~~~~~~~~

::

   cd fah-work
   ./scripts/build

If all goes well, this will build ``cbang``, ``libfah`` and ``fah-work``
producing a Debian package.

The script automatically pulls in the latest code from github so you can build
the latest software simply by running ``scripts/build`` again.
